Phonics and Reading

This school teaches Phonics using THRASS, parents can purchase Thrass Charts and CD’s from the school office and are encouraged to attend the Parental Training Sessions offered by the School – these sessions are run by school staff and will assist parents in learning how phonics are taught to their children so appropriate assistance can be used at home to support learning in school.

Thrass is based on 120 keywords to help learners choose the right sounds when they read and the right letters when they spell.
