The role of school governors is to set strategic direction, to hold school leaders to account for improving performance, and to make sure money is well spent.
The School is led by Mrs Brindle the Headteacher with her Leadership Team. Supporting Mrs Brindle is our highly experienced Governing Body. The Governors come from various areas of the community and give their time and expertise on a voluntary basis. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated team of people supporting the school community. The governing body was re-constituted in July 2015. As part of the reconstitution each governor will complete a skills audit and undergo an annual appraisal to determine the correct skill set is in place to offer the best service possible.
For the academic year 2018 to 2019 the Governing Body are piloting a new structure where a meeting is held each half term and there are therefore 6 meetings planned for this year, all the governors are invited to attend all meetings.
