School Uniform

School Uniform Policy – Breck Primary School

School uniform must be worn at all times following the guidelines below unless the school has published a non uniform event in school.

The school uniform comprises a bottle green sweatshirt or cardigan with white polo shirt and charcoal grey trousers or skirts/skorts or pinafore dress.  All children to wear black school shoes.  A bottle green sweatshirt or cardigan may either be with the school logo from the school uniform supplier Price and Buckland or any non branded item widely available from high street and supermarket stores.

On days when a KS2 year group has PE on their timetable children are asked to attend in their PE kit.  All children in EYFS/KS1 are asked to bring their PE kit into school each week so that they may change into the kit for any sessions during the school week.  The PE Kit is a bottle green t-shirt, black shorts/skorts and/or black jogging bottoms.  All children have the option to wear a bottle green hoodie or sweatshirt/cardigan on cooler days.  All children must wear sports type trainers on PE days.  All PE uniform may be purchased either from the school uniform provider website (as below) or any non branded items available widely from high street and supermarket stores.  The pre loved uniform rail at the front of school has plenty of free items available at all times for families to utilise.

During the warmer months there is an option for children to wear any generic green and white checked summer dress with white socks and these items are available widely on the high street and from the free to use pre loved uniform rail.

All children wherever possible should wear black/grey socks or tights.  Children are not allowed to wear jewellery (including earrings) at any time other than a wrist watch.  Hair should be cut in a sensible hair style and longer hair must be tied back at all times.

The school uniform online ordering website operates all year round and delivery is direct to a home address with up to 4 weeks delivery at busy times of the year.

Generic items can be purchased at any time from online or high street retailers.

The school operates a pre loved uniform rail at the front of school.  All parents are encouraged to use this facility – it is free of charge (please leave the hangers on the rail).  Any families who would like to donate good quality pre loved uniform should drop off washed items to the school office at any time.

Families with lower incomes can apply for free school meal entitlement by contacting the Local Authority Pupil Access Team on 01524 581148.  The application is very simple via an online form and if approved the school will provide a uniform allowance via the official supplier of up to £100 per academic year.
